New twist to Battersea Power Station saga

News that potential co-investors are looking at Battersea Power Station should be welcomed by all. For over 20 years the iconic London landmark has been standing proud waiting for someone with vision and the money to give it a new lease of life.
When John Broome first bought the site in the late 1980s it was to become the capital’s version of Alton Towers, now it it will be a mix of uses including much needed new homes for the area.
The current owners Treasury Holdings are close to securing planning permission and clearly the injection of fresh capital through the form of a joint venture will speed redevelopment up.
And with the new American Embassy to built just a stone’s throw away, this part of south London could see a dramatic transformation over the next decade.
