Laura Chesters’ move on to the Indy on Sunday has prompted a wee shake up at Property Week this week with editor Giles Barrie astutely reshuffling his pack.

Replacing someone with over six years journalistic experience in the retail, leisure and hotels sector is never going to be easy but Kat Baker, who has already broken some great stories and penned some insightful features on the West End, should be just that person.

Kat only joined the magazine in the summer but she has quickly got to grips with commercial property and has an eye for fashion.

Nick Johnstone will move across to cover Kat’s former patches – the West End, Scotland, North East, North West, Yorkshire and residential. I am sure that if he finds time he will cover his old stomping ground – the Public Sector.
