The Christmas season starts this week with the annual Jones Lang LaSalle Retail Lunch at Claridges on Wednesday hosted by the super smooth Guy Grainger.
As one of the most polished of all the agents’ events the JLL lunch is always well attended and offers a ‘heart starter’ before the BCSC Annual Dinner later that evening.
Chat at the JLL bash will centre on the phenomenal investment market that has seen nearly £2 billion worth of shopping centres change hands in a fortnight but also whether anyone else will leave the Hanover Square-based firm.It has already lost four members of it’s retail agency team and the rumours persist that more may follow.
JLL has established itself as a major player in this sector and has strength in depth. It is difficult to imagine that these detections will prove anything more than a minor irritation in the long term.
