OAS comedian ensures 2010 ends with a smile

08/12/2010

Office agents James Shilabeer (Capita Symonds), Paul Smith (BrayFoxSmith), Peirs Leigh (King Sturge)  and Angus Malcolmson (GVA) all have special reasons to remember this years  Office Agents Society Annual Dinner.

All were singled out for one reason or another by the excellent comedian Terry Alderton, who, after one of the most original 60-minute gigs you are ever likely to see, earned himself a standing ovation – and  this from one of the property industry’s most cynical audiences.

With a routine that included one-liners, rapping and impersonations, Alderton captivated his audience from the opening gags. He has featured with Michael McIntyre and is a name to look out for.

The Grand Connaught was the venue for the second year running and over 150 office agents, from as far afield as the south coast and Cambridgeshire, braved the bitter winter conditions to enjoy what has been described as the best Dinner ever.

M/c Roland ‘Boris’ Jordan ensured that things ran smoothly while OAS chairman Will ‘Hoddle’ Foster added to the occasion with an agent ‘looky-likey’ display. And Mark Belsham of Hargreaves Newberry Gyngell won a case of wine in the ‘heads or tails’ competition.

All in  all this will be a tough act to follow.
