KRICKET COMES HOME TO BRIXTON AND SECURES WHITE CITY SITE

May 10, 2018

Modern Indian restaurant group Kricket has secured a permanent home in Brixton and a new site at The Television Centre, White City, advised by Harper Dennis Hobbs.

London-based Kricket was established in a 20-seat shipping container at Pop Brixton in 2015, combining British ingredients with the authentic flavours, aromas and spices of India. The popular small plate specialist opened its first permanent restaurant at 12 Denman Street in Soho in 2017.

Harper Dennis Hobbs advised Kricket on its homecoming to Brixton, acquiring the lease of the former Brindisa 1,400 sq ft unit at 41/43 Atlantic Road, which is set to open in early May.

A 3,637 sq ft site plus an external terrace at White City will launch later this year. It will join venues including Homeslice, Bluebird and Patty & Bun, as well as a new Soho House hotel, within the refurbished former home of the BBC Television Centre.

Charlie Catterall, director at Harper Dennis Hobbs, said: “Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell have created a cult following for their creative Indian inspired cuisine and are sure to make a welcome return to Brixton. The Television Centre site promises to be an even bigger showcase of their imaginative cooking and we are sure the group will go from strength to strength.”
