ANOTHER FIRST FOR THE OUTLET, BRIDGEWATER PARK

September 12, 2007

GOLFINO has taken unit 38b at The OUTLET at Bridgewater Park, Banbridge, for its first store in Northern Ireland.

The specialist designer golfwear retailer has taken a 1,300 sq ft (121 sq m) unit at the 205,000 sq ft (19,045 sq m) retail outlet scheme, joining existing retailers including Puma, Replay, Gap and recent signings L.K.Bennett and CK Underwear.

Joanne Skilton, commercial director of GML Estates, comments: “GOLFINO has chosen The OUTLET as the location for its exclusive factory outlet in Northern Ireland, highlighting the confidence international retailers have in the scheme, its location and the strong retail market in Ireland.”

“This signing is yet another first for The OUTLET, helping us deliver a quality and elegant sportswear offer. It further enhances our tenant mix and reinforces The OUTLET as Ireland’s premier retail outlet.”

Other retailers to open their first Northern Ireland stores at The Outlet include Armani Stockist The Designer Studio, Joseph, Ghost, Mandarina Duck, Billabong, Regatta, Kurt Muller, Bench, Puma, Almaplena, L.K.Bennett, CK Underwear, Whittards, Marc Picard, Jeff Banks, Van Heusen, Playtex, Daniel Footwear, Park Avenue.

Noel Esler, UK manager of GOLFINO comments: “We chose The OUTLET for our Northern Irish Factory Outlet Store for a number of reasons; its prime location serves consumers in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland whilst the existing store offering reflects many GOLFINO brand messages, namely premium quality and luxury.”

The £70 million retail outlet centre, which comprises 82 retail units arranged in a curved design stretching one third of a mile, is being jointly developed by GML Estates, its parent Orana Group and Land Securities. The OUTLET is the first phase of the 1.2 million sq ft (111,480 sq m) Bridgewater Park scheme.

The second phase will include a 430,571 sq ft (40,000 sq m) retail park which already has planning permission, 2,000 more parking spaces to serve the retail site, a 60 bedroom hotel, drive-thru restaurant and petrol filling station, bringing the completed investment value to over £200 million.

Markham Vaughan Gillingham (MVG) and DTZ McCombe Pierce are joint letting agents for The OUTLET.
