WOMEN’S FASHION FIVESOME FIX SIGHTS ON ST DAVID’S

Leading women’s fashion brands LK Bennett, Karen Millen, Oasis, Warehouse and Coast are to open stores in Cardiff’s St David’s shopping centre, further underlining its position as the Welsh capital’s fashion hub.
Distinctly feminine and renowned for its glamorous shoes, clothing and accessories, British fashion brand LK Bennett, will open its first store in Wales with a 2,290 sq ft shop at St David’s.
Margaret McDonald, CEO of LK Bennett, said “We are delighted to be opening our first LK Bennett boutique in Wales. Located in Cardiff’s ultimate shopping destination, St David’s is the perfect location to showcase the elegant Autumn/Winter collection.
“We hope that our Welsh customers will welcome the arrival of LK Bennett and enjoy the experience of shopping in our new design concept store that reflects the new creative direction with its chic structured tailoring, jewel coloured silk dresses and abundance of luxury accessories”
Karen Millen in a 3,193 sq ft store, Oasis with 2,628 sq ft, Warehouse with 2,684 sq ft and Coast with 2,782 sq ft will join other fashion stores at St David’s including Hugo Boss, Kurt Geiger, New Look, All Saints, Quiksilver, Reiss, TM Lewin, latest addition Cult with its flagship store, and department store John Lewis.
Joanne Skilton of Capital Shopping Centres (CSC), on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, the joint venture between CSC and Land Securities, said: “We are incredibly excited about these brands coming to St David’s. Our fashion line-up is the envy of many cities and will be an asset to the Cardiff shopper.”
The new St David’s will extend the existing 427,000 sq ft (39,670 sq m) shopping centre, to provide 1.4 million sq ft (129,135 sq m) of retail space in the heart of Cardiff. The European capital receives 27 million shoppers and 10 million tourists each year, and St David’s will promote Cardiff into the UK’s top ten retail destinations.
