TIGER GETS GO AHEAD FOR WINDSOR SCHEME

October 26, 2009

Tiger Developments has secured planning consent for a new 58 bed care facility in Helston Lane, Windsor.

The site which one of the most prominent in the town is set become  Tiger subsidiary Shelbourne Senior Living’s second operating care facility in the UK. Its other facility is at Sway on the borders of the New Forest in Hampshire.

Shelbourne intends to commence development in 2011 and be operational by mid 2012 and in the meantime hopes to secure consent for a further 40 assisted living units to create a true “care village community” for Windsor.

Head of development for Shelbourne, Robin Hughes comments: “We are delighted to achieve this planning success after detailed and lengthy discussions with the planning authority.

“  The demographic need for assisted living and dementia care in the local community is acute.”
