STANDARD LIFE SIGNS DUNELM IN BARROW

January 11, 2010

Standard Life Investments, jointly advised by Edgerley Simpson Howe and King Sturge, has let the former leisure unit on Hollywood Park, Barrow-in-Furness to Dunelm Soft Furnishings.

The homewares and soft furnishings store has taken the 23,100 sq ft unit on a new 15-year lease at a rent of £11 per sq ft.

Planning consent has been obtained to change the property’s use from leisure to bulky goods A1 retail for Dunelm as well as for their trading mezzanine floor.

Hollywood Park is the main out-of-town retail and leisure destination in Barrow-in-Furness and the surrounding area and is located strategically, opposite Tesco Extra, Next, Homebase and Pets at Home.  Other operators on the scheme include Currys, Comet, Dreams Beds, Apollo Cinema and a Nuffield Health club.

Mason and Partners represented Dunelm Soft Furnishings.
