HIGHCROSS SIGNS UP MORE KENT COMPANIES AT WATERMARK

February 26, 2010

Conqueror Court, the first phase of Highcross and Cantium’s Watermark Kent office park near Sittingbourne, is now 60% occupied, as two more local companies take space at the development.

Units 11 and 12, Conqueror Court, which total 5,000 sq ft, have been let to Williams Giles, a Kent and Thames Gateway-based firm of chartered accountants, on a ten-year lease.

Also new to Watermark Kent is specialist drainage company, Inten Ltd, which has taken a 2,740 sq ft unit at Conqueror Court on a five-year lease.

Williams Giles, which employs 30 people, will bring together teams from its Medway and existing Sittingbourne offices into the brand new purpose built accommodation at Conqueror Court. Managing Director, Alastair Crawford said:

“We are delighted to have found such a great development in such an excellent location. It enables us to bring all of our teams under one roof, to offer greater synergy to our clients, and its close proximity to the M2, M20 and their onward connections makes all communications even easier.”

At the end of last year, Highcross and Cantium sold Units 1 and 2, which total 8,507 sq ft, to the Southern Educational Leadership Trust (SELT), a charitable trust, which specialises in leadership development in the education sector. Since Conqueror Court was completed last Spring, units have also been let to Waterstone Design, Solo Service Group and Watkins Plumbing.

Watermark’s first phase, Conqueror Court, includes thirteen office units, with space ranging from 1,218 sq ft for a single floor up to 7,032 sq ft for a self-contained office building. The office park also offers opportunities for bespoke development including buildings up to 90,000 sq ft.

Chris Mills, commercial development director at Highcross said: “With 60% of Conqueror Court let or sold in less than twelve months, our strategy of providing high quality, affordable office space, with stepped rent deals and freehold options, has been very effective in attracting local businesses.”

Agents for Watermark are BNP Paribas, Watson Day and Harrisons.
