NEW SIGNINGS FOR CARDIFF’S CAPITOL SHOPPING CENTRE

+ Shops, which acts on behalf of Moorfield at Cardiff’s Capitol Shopping Centre has secured two new retailers as part of plans to revitalise the centre’s retail mix.

Local surfwear specialist Lobster Bob is relocating from its current store on Cardiff’s Queen Street to Unit 22/22b at the centre, opening a 3,493 sq ft store on a one year lease. The retailer sells surfwear and surfboards from the likes of Animal, Billabong, Ripcurl, Saltrock and Roxy.

In addition, luggage retailer Departures will open its ninth UK store, joining other shops in Bristol and Newport. The retailer, which stocks Design Go Travel Accessories, Carlton and Members as well as fashion bags, handbags, holdalls and luggage, will open a 2,159 sq ft store at unit 6 in the centre on a short term lease.

Lettings agents on the deals were Macarthur Wilson and Kitchen La Frenais Morgan.
