Luxury shoe retailer Kurt Geiger announces plans to open a new store at Capital Shopping Centres’ Eldon Square in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The new store forms part of the company’s expansion plan to open stores in prime retail locations across the UK and internationally. Kurt Geiger at Eldon Square follows the recent opening of the company’s flagship stores in London’s Covent Garden and Liverpool which feature a new aesthetic and store design by architects Found Associates and independent visual display expert John Field.
Martin Breeden, director of asset management (northern portfolio) at Capital Shopping Centres said: “The continual development and regeneration of Eldon Square has resulted in extremely encouraging interest from retailers, and the addition of brands such as Kurt Geiger reinforces the centre’s position as the prime retail pitch in Newcastle.”
Development continues throughout Eldon Square with new flooring being laid from Blackett Bridge to the Eldon Way entrance on Northumberland Street. Work on the Centre’s new tiling will be complete before Christmas and Kurt Geiger will open at the end of September.
