Healthy foodservice operator, spudulike, will open alongside local and national food operators at St David’s, Cardiff in two months’ time bringing the popular Welsh centre’s lower mall Eastside catering area to full capacity.
spudulike has been serving hot baked potatoes since 1974 when the first unit was launched in Edinburgh. It now has over 50 operations in Britain, and continues to open in new locations around the country. The spudulike mission is to provide the highest quality fresh and healthy food, which satisfies every taste and budget.
The baked potato specialists will add to the variety of the St David’s restaurant quarter, which currently has 18 restaurants across two levels.
Simon Turner, managing director of Spudulike Group, said: “We look forward to providing Cardiff shoppers with our quality baked potatoes and we’re confident that St David’s will provide an excellent location for us in the city.”
Joanne Skilton, of Capital Shopping Centres (CSC), on behalf of St David’s Partnership, the joint venture between CSC and Land Securities, said: “A concerted effort has been made to offer a diverse range of catering options at St David’s and an outlet such as spudulike not only helps to achieve this but adds to our range of quality, healthy, fast food offerings.”
spudulike joins other restaurants on the lower level such as Prêt a Manger, YO! Sushi, Bellini’s Express, Cadwaladers and French restaurant Boof.
Lunson Mitchenall, Cushman & Wakefield and EJ Hales are the agents for St David’s; Brasier Freeth advised Spudulike Group.
