September 29, 2010

Radley, the popular UK accessories brand, will open the doors to its first new in-store design at Metrocentre, Gateshead on 9 October.

The brand will join other high profile retailers such as Kurt Geiger and Russell & Bromley when it opens a 1,626 sq ft store in Europe’s largest covered centre. Radley has partnered with leading retail design experts, Caulder & Moore to develop a new retail concept that reflects the accessories brand’s unique DNA and creates a uniform brand identity, differentiating itself from its competitors. Plans are to roll out the new concept to all 18 existing stores in the New Year.

Sven Gaede, CEO at Radley said: “We are delighted to be opening our first store in Newcastle’s renowned Metrocentre which will also see the launch of our new store concept, further highlighting our position as the UK High Street’s leading premium accessories brand”.

Martin Breeden, director of asset management (northern portfolio) at Capital Shopping Centres said: “We’re delighted that Radley has chosen Metrocentre, with its 23 million annual visitors, to launch its new in-store design. The brand will add to our unique and diverse tenant mix and we are looking forward to seeing the new store.”

Letting agents for Metrocentre are Sanderson Weatherall and Lunson Mitchenall. Radley was represented by Western Ridge Consultancy.
