Salmon submits planning application for Vauxhall Hotel

November 1, 2010

Salmon Harvester Properties, the joint venture between Salmon Developments and NFU Mutual, has submitted a planning application to the London Borough of Lambeth for a £19 million hotel development adjacent to Vauxhall Interchange in south London.

The plans envisage a 150-bed hotel, pre-let to Travelodge, and a 6,000 sq ft ground floor retail unit. Subject to planning consent, work on the hotel will start in early 2011 with completion in 2012.

Philip Skottowe, development director of Salmon Harvester Properties said: “Vauxhall is a strong improving location and with the huge amount of foot fall here using the bus, train and underground it’s an excellent pitch for a mixed hotel and retail scheme.”

Bidwells is advising Salmon Harvester and Lee Baron acted for the vendor. The architect is Dexter Moren.
