SWEET SUCCESS AT HIGHCROSS’ SUGAR MILL

March 2, 2011

Six new companies have signed up for new office space at Highcross’ Sugar Mill Business Park in Leeds.

The business park, which is located just off Dewsbury Road, includes Sugar Mill and The Refinery, providing office, workshop and serviced accommodation.

The new occupiers at Sugar Mill are KeyRing, Sheard Images, Leeds Late Night Drinks, Northern Case Management and JR Pridham Services, taking office space ranging from 115 sq ft – 750 sq ft. Highcross has also completed a further nine lease renewals to existing occupiers at Sugar Mill Business Park, totalling 7,500 sq ft.

KeyRing, a charitable organisation which helps support vulnerable people with learning and other disabilities to live independently in their own homes, has moved its Yorkshire and North East regional office to Sugar Mill. Development Manager Charlie Crabtree from KeyRing comments: “We moved from our existing office in Hunslet because Sugar Mill’s location is much better for us, the building has been renovated to a high standard and, of course, an attractive price was an important factor.”

Highcross is currently carrying out the first phase of refurbishment at The Refinery, formerly known as Concourse House. Once complete, the refurbishment work at the former mill building will provide a further 10,000 sq ft of office space.

The Sugar Mill Business Park provides office space from 170 sq ft up to 20,000 sq ft in a secure business environment, with an on site management team, meeting and conference room facilities for hire, ample parking and 24-hour access. The scheme is located 2.5 miles from Leeds city centre.

Highcross asset manager, Alex Hyams, comments: “Our strategy of providing flexible, cost-effective accommodation at Sugar Mill is continuing to be very successful.  The space coming to the market shortly within the Refinery will diversify our offering further allowing us to meet demand and continue to present strong terms to prospective occupiers.”

Agents for Highcross at Sugar Mill Business Park are Ryden and WSB.
