Spanish womenswear giant Mango is to open its first Welsh store, in St David’s, Cardiff, the centre jointly owned by Capital Shopping Centres (CSC) and Land Securities. The new deal follows a series of high profile fashion lettings at St David’s.
Mango is to take a 2,472 sq ft store on the lower level of St David’s adjacent to Beaverbrooks and Henleys and opposite Pandora. The store is due to open in April.
Joanne Skilton, retail and leasing director of Capital Shopping Centres (CSC), on behalf of St David’s Partnership, the joint venture between CSC and Land Securities said: “Mango is an exciting fashion retailer that offers smart, sassy shopping for fashion conscious urban women and we are thrilled they have recognised the strength of St David’s for their first store in Wales.”
The arrival of Mango at St David’s follows a number of high profile fashion deals at the centre including one of the first debut stores for retailing king Theo Paphitis’ new lingerie chain Boux Avenue which will also open in April and Gap which opened its new store at St David’s in March.
