Nafield Properties, the joint venture between Turnstone Estates and Burall Developments has signed two new tenants at its office and R&D development Broers Building in Cambridge. With a further two suites under offer now it now has less than 14,000 sq ft to let.
The new deals have been signed with multiphysics modelling and simulation software company Comsol Ltd and component design and manufacturer specialist Elektron plc.
Comsol has taken a 3,273 sq ft suite on the third floor, having signed a five year lease at £29.50 per sq ft. The deal includes a six month rent free period.
Elektron has leased a 6,041 sq ft suite on the ground floor and will pay a rent of £26.75 per sq ft on a 15 year lease with a break at year 10. The deal includes a rent free period equivalent to twelve months.
The new lettings follows the news in January that an educational charity had taken 5,878 sq ft of space on the third floor of the development, joining European patent and trademark attorneys HLBBshaw Group, molecular biology, single photon detection and nanotechnology specialists Base 4 Innovation and Nokia who already have research facilities at the site.
The 42,219 sq ft Broers Building forms part of the Hauser Forum at the West Cambridge Research and Development Park at the University of Cambridge. The four floor building is available to let for organsiations engaged in the field of commercial research and development.
