River Island leases new store in Oxford

Fashion retailer River Island has opened a striking new 13,700 sq ft store in Oxford having signed up for a new lease with Jesus College Oxford, who were advised by Kitchen La Frenais Morgan.

The new store has allowed the retailer to relocate from its existing unit in The Clarendon Centre and consolidates Cornmarket Street as the premier fashion pitch in the City with the unit being adjacent to Next and Fat Face.

River Island has a three floor high street store at Unit B, 13-21 Cornmarket Street and has created a double height shop front as part of the fit out. The store includes a 2,062 sq ft ground floor, an 8,466 sq ft first floor and a 3,179 sq ft second floor.

The landlord Jesus College Oxford was represented by Kitchen La Frenais Morgan and Harper Dennis Hobbs acted for River Island.
