Turnstone Estates has submitted a planning application for an 32,000 sq ft leisure scheme on Huntingdon Street in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
The development will offer a six screen cinema, four restaurant buildings and three residential flats. It will provide the first cinema in St Neots, Cambridgeshire’s largest town.
The application follows a public exhibition held in February this year for the 1.5 acre, former fire station and waste recycling site.
Chris Goldsmith, managing director at Turnstone Estates, commented: “This development fulfils the need for a premier leisure facility in St Neots. We are confident it will provide an excellent addition which can be enjoyed by all ages. We have had very helpful feedback from the local community and hope that, where possible, we have taken on board their hopes and aspirations”
Subject to planning consent, the £8m scheme will be completed by early 2013.
Turnstone Estates is advised by Januarys, Wareing & Partners and DH Barford & Co. The architect is JWA Architects.
