Gerald Eve has taken expansion space for its Rates Payments Management Services (RPMS) and Property Management Finance (PMF) team at Liberty Property Trust UK’s Kings Hill business park in West Malling.
The move comes after a number of significant new wins for Gerald Eve’s client accounting teams which now pay business rates, rent and service charges of well over £1bn for clients – making it the largest such business in the UK. Its clients include Boots,Costa, Greene King, Halfords, Mitchells and Butlers, Superdrug, Whitbread and WH Smith.
Gerald Eve had been based in a smaller office at Churchill Square on the park. It has now moved to a 2,340 sq ft office at 35 Kings Hill Avenue which offers much more flexibility for expansion of the 19 strong team currently working for this part of the firm. Gerald Eve has taken a five year lease. Rental terms were not disclosed.
Gerald Eve’s head of business rates Jerry Schurder said: “This is a fantastic new office for us which provides enhanced facilities for staff and clients. Our business plans include continuing growth for these very successful arms of our business and these premises provide us with space to accommodate further new clients.”
Andrew Blevins, managing director of Kings Hill developer Liberty Property Trust UK Ltd, said that it was always encouraging to see businesses on the park doing so well. “I am delighted that Gerald Eve is planning to expand and that it is remaining atKings Hill,” he said. “The firm is one of many which has either increased its space or renewed its lease at Kings Hill this year and it is good to see our tenants doing so well.”
Hanover Green, Knight Frank and Altus Edwin Hill acted for the landlord and Gerald Eve represented itself.
