Lola’s Cupcakes looks for new shops

March 21, 2012

Hand-crafted cupcake baker Lola’s is looking to expand and has instructed Harper Dennis Hobbs to help it find it up to six new stores in London this year.

Lola’s trades from Selfridges, Harrods and Topshop as well as from its standalone flagship store on Berkeley Street.  It also has a successful on-line business.

The bakery retailer is targeting shops of 500 sq ft and cafés of 1,000 sq ft in high footfall locations across central London – particularly in the West End, Soho and Covent Garden – as well as in Westfield London and Westfield Stratford.

Clare Dutton of Harper Dennis Hobbs said: “Lola’s Cupcakes started small in Selfridges but is growing. Its hand-crafted cupcakes are a great product and very popular with customers including celebrities such as Cheryl Cole.”
