BWB Expands At Highcross’ Livery Place, Birmingham

June 1, 2012

Engineering and environmental consultancy, BWB, has expanded its Birmingham office, taking 4,165 sq ft at Highcross’ Livery Place office building.

Highcross has let the newly refurbished first floor accommodation on a five-year lease. Following the move, BWB Consulting will have almost doubled the size of its original office space at the central Birmingham office building.

BWB, which is one of the largest privately-owned engineering and environmental consultancies in the Midlands, now has a team of 20 staff in Birmingham, and offices in London, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham.

Group Director Andy Passmore said: “Our move to Livery Place has proved to be the catalyst for our success over the past couple of years and when it became clear that we needed more space, we were keen to continue our relationship with Highcross and stay within the building.”

BWB has been a key partner in a series of landmark projects locally, regionally and nationally – most recently a new training academy for Premiership giants Manchester City, the proposed Resorts World casino and leisure project at the NEC and two national distribution centres for Marks & Spencer – one in the Midlands and the other in Yorkshire.

The consultancy was also part of the team behind Severn Trent Water’s new HQ in Coventry and is providing its engineering services on schemes at Warwick University, University of Birmingham, Pebble Mill and the Edgbaston Priory Club. In addition, BWB is currently establishing a presence in the Australian market, with designs for high rise student accommodation schemes in Sydney and Melbourne currently being developed in Birmingham.

Highcross’ Livery Place provides flexible Grade A office space, with the added benefits of on-site management and car parking. The 60,000 sq ft office building has been extensively refurbished by Highcross and is within easy reach of the main retail area and Birmingham’s Snow Hill and Metro stations.

Joe Curlett, Associate Director at Highcross’ Birmingham office adds: “We are delighted that BWB has decided to expand within Livery Place. Our location within Birmingham’s central office core has attracted a wide range of professional services businesses to the building and with accommodation available from boutique suites of 2,000 sq ft up to floor plates of 9,100 sq ft, we are well placed to meet companies’ growth requirements.”

Agents for Livery Place are GBR and CB Richard Ellis.
