Wellcome Trust Attracts Carolina Herrera

July 10, 2012

The Wellcome Trust has agreed a letting with US fashion boutique chain Carolina Herrera to open a luxury store on Fulham Road in west London.

The high-end retailer has signed a 15-year lease for the 2,141 sq ft shop at 2 Fulham Road, which is owned by the Wellcome Trust, and will pay an annual rent of £340,000.

Venezuelan fashion designer Carolina Herrera founded the first of her eponymous boutiques in New York in 1980. The store at 2 Fulham Road will be the chain’s second standalone shop in London, following its opening on Mount Street in Mayfair in 2010.

The store will focus on the designer’s womenswear, as well as her ranges of clothing and accessories for men and children. Kitchen La Frenais Morgan acted for the Wellcome Trust, while Harper Dennis Hobbs acted for Carolina Herrera.
