Highcross has let a 22,743 sq ft industrial/distribution unit at Weston Avenue, West Thurrock to The Noisy Drinks Company.
The company, which supplies iced drinks to leisure outlets, restaurants and major supermarkets, was looking for larger premises in the area, following expansion. Highcross has let the unit on a ten year lease.
The unit has been completely refurbished since its acquisition by Highcross in autumn last year, and will enable The Noisy Drinks Company to move all its staff and operations under one roof.
Managing director, David Pearce comments: “At present, we are operating out of three depots in Thurrock and our move to Weston Avenue provides the opportunity to continue our growth and increase efficiency through locating all our operations in one place. The new unit is perfect for our needs, both in size and facilities, providing a high quality environment which reflects the values of the company and is far more customer-facing than our previous premises.”
The self-contained unit is set on a 1.3 acre site and includes around 7,000 sq ft of office space and a secure yard. The location, 2 miles from the M25 Junction 30/31, is also convenient for The Noisy Drinks Company, which has a UK-wide distribution network.
Highcross development surveyor, Tom Gormley adds: “The unit only became vacant at the end of 2011 following a lease expiry and the letting to The Noisy Drinks Company was agreed as soon as we placed the building back on the market following refurbishment. The speed with which the letting was achieved, reflects both the quality of the premises and the popularity of West Thurrock as a location for industrial and distribution companies, due to its easy access to the national motorway network.”
