Mexican restaurant chain El Mexicana, advised by retail property specialist GCW, is poised for expansion in 2013 in cities including London, Birmingham and Manchester.
The chain opened its first restaurant in the Meadowhall Centre, Sheffield, in December 2011. It followed this in 2012 with openings on London’s New Oxford Street and in Ilford, as well as franchises at three Extra Services motorway service stations: Beaconsfield, Cobham and Cambridge, with two more – Baldock and Peterborough – to open in early 2013.
The chain promises authentic Mexican food that can be eaten in or taken away. Its menu includes burritos, tacos, nachos, Buffalo wings and Mexican churros.
El Mexicana is now seeking new units in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford and Sheffield. It is also looking at major shopping centres, and would consider locations in other student cities, service stations and airports.
GCW is acting for El Mexicana on its nationwide acquisition programme.
