DE&J Levy Advises On Art Dealer Letting

February 6, 2013

Fund manager Standard Life Investments, advised by DE&J Levy, has agreed a letting to a fine art dealer in the West End.

DE&J Levy has advised Standard Life on the letting of the 2,855 sq ft first floor at 39 St James’s Street in St James’s to Thomas Gibson Fine Art. The family-run fine art dealer was established in 1969 and deals in Impressionist and 20th century masters, as well as modern British works.

Thomas Gibson has agreed a 15-year lease paying in excess of £60 per sq ft, with a rent review after five years and a tenant-only break clause after ten years.

Anna Field from DE&J Levy says the deal shows that the West End remains an attractive location for the fine art sector. “We believe that this deal demonstrates the emerging strong demand from gallery occupiers taking upper floors.” She says.

Pilcher Hershman advised Thomas Gibson Fine Art.
