Breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk, has taken a new ten-year lease on its 13,000 sq ft premises at Highcross’ Genesis Business Park, Woking.
Walk the Walk, organisers of The MoonWalks, SunWalks and other power walking events, has raised more than £89 million for breast cancer causes since its formation seventeen years ago.
The charity has been based at the 100,000 sq ft Genesis Business Park since 2010.
Simon Davey, finance director at Walk the Walk commented: “The property works well for us, with good quality and well lit office accommodation on the first floor, sufficient ground floor warehousing and loading space for all our event materials and stocks, and plenty of parking for our staff and visitors.”
The Genesis Business Park, which is located at Sheerwater, less than two miles from Woking town centre, includes eight high specification office and business units.
Nick Turner, asset management director at Highcross added: “Walk the Walk’s decision to take a new ten-year lease reflects the strength of the business park’s accommodation and its location. With work now underway on the new Sheerwater access road, the park’s attraction to businesses is set to increase further, and following the completion of a major refurbishment of the largest unit at the scheme, we expect to be announcing a new 13,500 sq ft letting shortly.”
Agents for Genesis Business Park are Morgan Smithyes and Hollis Hockley.
