Retail property experts Harper Dennis Hobbs are no strangers to a challenging brief, but later this week eight members of staff will be taking on a 33 km hike across the Langdale Pikes in the Lake District for the charity ‘Walking with the Wounded’.
The Helly Hanson Cumbrian Challenge sets off from Grasmere on the 14th June. There are two routes but the HDH team are tackling the 33 km ‘Tougher’ hike which they hope to complete in less than 10 hours and which will take them up to 1,650 m in altitude. The hike takes in some spectacular scenery and incorporates Bow Fell, Crinkle Crags and the famous Bad Step.
Rebecca Blenkinsop, Director at HDH comments: “We are doing this to raise money for a great charity, to get fit and spend time with colleagues. The Challenge is only in its second year and is a race to the top. We will be competing against inspirational wounded ex servicemen and women, as well as members of the Helly Hanson South Pole expedition team.”
