Birthplace Of Ordnance Survey Is Fully Let

February 20, 2015

A private client of Hanover Green and BNP Paribas Real Estate has let the last remaining floor at The Observatory, 10 Argyll Street in London W1.

The 994 sq ft fifth floor has been let to Solid Angle on a 5 year lease at a rent of £65 per sq ft.

The Observatory has been fully refurbished to create five floors of contemporary, well-equipped and well-connected office space just yards from Oxford Circus. Tenants include Ymagis, MT Finance, Azini Capital and Solid Angle.

The Observatory is a 6,174 sq ft elegant Georgian building with a rich history, having been home to Scottish surveyor Major General William Roy, who pioneered work in topographical mapping, the foundation of Ordnance Survey in 1791 and the ‘connection’ of the Royal Observatories of Greenwich and Paris.
