Turnstone Estates has submitted a detailed planning application for the Northern Gateway Leisure development in Colchester on a site of 10 acres on the A12.
The proposed 150,000 sq ft scheme will be anchored by a 12 screen cinema with IMAX/Superscreen and 4DX to be operated by Cineworld, together with a number of restaurant units, an 80-bed hotel, activity leisure units, a landscaped public piazza and parking for approximately 750 cars.
Subject to planning approval, the development would be open for public use in 2018.
