LEASING ACTIVITY AT SOVEREIGN CENTRE

Vixcroft, advised by Fawcett Mead and GVA, has completed a raft of new deals at The Sovereign Shopping Centre, Weston-super-Mare.

JD Sports has signed a 10 year lease on Unit 10/11, comprising 4,693 sq ft, at a rent of £60,000 pa. The deal sees the retailer more than doubling the size of its store within the centre, having previously occupied a 1,600 sq ft store. JD Sports was unrepresented.

Yours have taken a new lease of unit 12 comprising 2,227 sq ft on a 5 year lease at a rent of £42,500 pa. Savills acted for Yours.

Socialites have taken a new 5 year lease of unit 36 at an average rent over 5 years of £27,000 pa. Latham High acted for Socialites.

Card Factory, Bon Marche and Blue Inc have all completed regears extending their commitment to the scheme until 2021 at a rent of £38,750 pa, 2022 at a rent of £77,500 pa, and 2020 at a rent of £62,500 pa respectively. Card Factory and Blue Inc were unrepresented. Capa acted for Bon Marche.

These are the latest of 20 leasing transactions completed since Fawcett Mead acquired the scheme on behalf of Vixcroft less than two years ago.
