Harper Dennis Hobbs (HDH) has secured a fifth site for Spanish tapas restaurant Camino at Principal Place, 115 Curtain Road in London’s Shoreditch.
The restaurant operator, which is inspired by the Castile y León region of northern Spain, has signed a 15-year deal on 4,000 sq ft, which will provide room for 80 in the restaurant, 75 in the tapas bar and a further 40 on an outside terrace. The restaurant will open in September.
Richard Bigg of Camino commented: “This site is particularly special to us, as it was in Shoreditch that our first ever bar Cantaloupe, opened back in 1995. The neighbourhood sparked the DNA that then lived on in all of the restaurants and bars we’ve opened since, and we’re delighted to be returning home again. The space will be vibrant yet relaxed, with a beautiful heated terrace for outdoor drinking and dining all year round.”
Camino has been slowly expanding across London, starting at King’s Cross and reaching out to Monument. The Shoreditch space will be designed by B3 Designers, the people behind Lyle’s, Gymkhana and Roka.
Bruce Gillingham Pollard acted for the landlord.
