Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund Wins UK Property Investment Award

May 30, 2017

Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund (SHOF) has been recognised as a top performing fund at the UK Property Investment Awards 2017.

In their 17th year, the awards are presented by MSCI and the Investment Property Forum. They are based upon independently verified direct real estate investment performance by pension and life funds, unlisted pooled funds, property investment companies and other professionally managed real estate portfolios, across more than 230 eligible UK portfolios.

The Fund’s award in the Unlisted Balanced Fund category was awarded for the consistent outperformance at portfolio level over a 3 year period. During that period the portfolio produced returns of 15.8% compared to the industry average of 11.4%.

Matthew Meaden, Fund Manager at SHOF comments, “This is a terrific endorsement of the fund. We have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline and just this week, we completed the £20 million redevelopment of Cathedral Square in Worcester, which opens in July. Our aim is to add value through active management and this project is a shining example of that approach.”

Malcolm Hunt, Executive Director of MSCI comments, “We’re delighted to publicly recognise the tremendous performance of these portfolios and their associated teams. These independent and objectively calculated awards cover a range of mandates and investment disciplines: listed and unlisted; balanced and specialist; pension and life.”

SHOF received a Data Quality Award alongside British Land, Canada Life Investments and LendLease.
