A private landlord, advised by Nash Bond, has let 48-50 Brewer Street in Soho to iconic sportswear brand Champion, for its first UK store.
Champion Products Europe Limited has taken a 10-year lease on a ground floor unit comprising 1,222 sq ft. The tenant is paying £155,000 pa.
Champion was established in the United States in 1919, invented the hooded sweatshirt and was the official outfitter of all 27 teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the 1990s, when it became a worldwide sports apparel brand. It has also been official outfitter for the NFL and the USA’s gold medalist ‘dream team’ at the Barcelona Olympics.
The brand is undergoing a revival and has recently been re-launched in Europe. This is their first standalone flagship store outside Italy and Eastern Europe.
