GCW INSTRUCTED BY MAPLINS ADMINSTRATORS

The joint administrators of Maplin Electronics Limited, Zelf Hussain, Toby Scott Underwood and Ian David Green of PWC, have appointed GCW to advise on the retailer’s property portfolio in relation to the sale of the business as a going concern.

Founded in 1976, the retailer has a 220-strong store portfolio across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Simon Morris, director at GCW, comments: “Maplin have a strong portfolio with both traditional high street and out of town locations in the best locations. We have strong initial interest and are pleased to assist the administrator in achieving the best results for the creditors.”
