COLUMBIA TO OPEN STORE IN LYON’S FIRST OUTLET CENTRE

May 17, 2018

American outdoor and sportswear brand Columbia, advised by Harper Dennis Hobbs (HDH), has acquired its newest store in France at the 30,000 sq m Village Outlet centre, Villefontaine, to the south east of Lyon, the city’s first outlet centre.

The brand has taken a 214 sq m store and will open tomorrow. The outlet centre will have a total of 140 shops and will be anchored by stores including Polo Ralph Lauren, Nike and Galeries Lafayette.

Andrew Bathurst of HDH said: “Until now Lyon has been one of the largest European cities without an outlet centre. Given this and the fact that Columbia is a highly successful brand across France, with several other outlets, it is set to go from strength to strength.”
