WDC LIMITED SELECT NEW HOME FOR CHOICE AND BRING IN MCDONALDS TO DOCKSIDE, CHATHAM

As part of an ongoing asset management plan to enhance the retail and leisure offer at Dockside, Chatham, the owners WD Chatham Limited are to relocate Choice Discount Stores to a new 9000 sq ft unit adjacent to the anchor tenant, The Range within the centre and have agreed a deal for a new McDonalds restaurant.

Choice are a longstanding tenant at Dockside and the new store location, will provide them with a new and much improved environment to showcase their successful fashion and home ranges.

A deal has also been agreed with McDonalds to take part of the space being vacated by Choice, on the front of Dockside opposite the recently opened Wagamama and Zizzi restaurants. McDonalds have taken a new 25-year lease for approximately 5,000 sq ft.

Anthony Sutton, Centre Manager at Dockside said “Both the McDonalds and Choice deals are a real testament to our commitment to Dockside and the broader Chatham Maritime project. We cannot wait to see them open their doors”.

Two new units alongside McDonalds are also being created, with leasing discussions progressing well.

WD Limited are also in advanced discussions to deliver new retail brands and some additional experiential leisure activities to Dockside. The centre is transitioning from its historic Outlet focus and becoming a regional retail and leisure destination.
