Local Wholesale Butchers leases 20,000 sq ft unit in Newbury

Logicor, advised by Haslams LLP, has secured a letting at Kennetside Industrial Estate, Bone Lane, Newbury to Thatcham Butchers Ltd.  This is the second letting secured on the estate since Logicor bought the asset in 2024.

The letting sees Thatcham Butchers take Unit B, a 21,326 sq ft self-contained industrial/warehouse unit on a 10 yr lease without a break at a rent of £10.50 per sq ft.  Haslams Surveyors LLP is joint agent with Quintons

Thatcham Butchers was founded in 1985, originating in a retail shop in Thatcham and eventually growing into purpose-built premises in Newbury in 2004.  Sustained growth of the business to service the catering industry has been the driving force behind this latest expansion, and it is now one of the leading catering butchers within the industry.

Haslams Surveyors LLP was appointed by European logistics real estate company Logicor as joint letting agent on Kennetside and two other multi-let industrial estates, totalling 220,000 sq ft, in Newbury, West Berkshire in 2023.

Unit D, Kennetside totalling 31,672 sq ft, is now the only unit available on the estate, and is due for refurbishment in the coming weeks.
