Kidderminster Self Storage is opening a new facility at Finepoint, the new 18-acre industrial and business scheme developed by Highcross and Graftongate in Kidderminster.
Highcross has let the 10,400 sq ft Unit 11 to the self storage company on a 20-year lease at a rent of £5.75 per sq ft. Andy Smith of Kidderminster Self Storage comments: “This is a very exciting move for us to brand new premises, which are prominent and easily accessible. We couldn’t be more pleased with both the quality and the location of the building.”
The unit is one of ten units, ranging from 5,656 sq ft – 11,000 sq ft, built in the first phase of the development. Available freehold or leasehold, the units are arranged in three terraces, and include fitted first floor offices.
When complete, the Finepoint scheme will comprise more than 320,000 sq ft of industrial, warehouse and office space, including purpose-built units up to 150,000 sq ft for a range of business uses. The first of the bespoke units – a 27,500 sq ft warehouse unit for City Link – was completed in June last year.
Chris Mills, development director at Highcross says the location within easy reach of the M5 and the flexibility of space on offer are key factors in the scheme’s appeal:
“Finepoint’s central location, good motorway access, ample car parking and security, are of particular relevance to companies like Kidderminster Self Storage and we are delighted to have secured this significant letting at the scheme.”
Agents for Finepoint are M3 and GVA Grimley.
