The opening of the flagship Célio and Jennyfer stores, part of a European fashion chain for men and women with 1,400 stores worldwide, marks the completion of this ambitious project. In the basement, ground floor and first floor, REDEVCO has created two retail units totalling 2,000 m2 for tenants Célio and Jennyfer.
REDEVCO has transformed the four historic buildings composing Seine Rivoli, situated between Rue des Bourdonnais, Rue de Rivoli and Rue Bertin Poirée, into a unified whole that meets the needs of the Parisians of today and complements the existing facilities in the 1st arrondissement.
Two retail units have been created and the five upper storeys have been converted into 24 5-6-room family apartments, which will be rented out. In a nearby property, sold by REDEVCO to Immobilière 3F, there will be 47 apartments in a social housing scheme.
“We have created a homogeneous property while preserving the outstanding architectural quality of the original buildings, which date from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries,” says Jean-Christophe Bretxa, REDEVCO France’s Managing Director. “This project is a real highlight in REDEVCO’s redevelopment activities, and in the regeneration of a central area of Paris, the quartier de la Samaritaine, where our group has been present for more than thirty years.”
REDEVCO has invested over 40 million euros in the project. The retail units were ready for the tenants at the end of the first half of 2010, as planned, while the apartments are scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
