Highcross agrees four lettings at Lakeside, Portsmouth

October 12, 2011

Highcross has agreed four new lettings at its 1000 Lakeside office building in Portsmouth.

Totalling more than 9,000 sq ft of office space, the lettings include NonStop Recruitment, which has expanded its Portsmouth office from the Regus business centre at 1000 Lakeside to take 3,000 sq ft on the second floor on a five-year lease.

HTP Training, which is a leading provider of apprenticeship training, specialising in the hospitality, business services, management and retail sectors, has taken 3,000 sq ft on a twelve-year lease.

In addition, sales, marketing and distribution specialists, Blue Ocean, are moving into a 1,800 sq ft suite on a three-year lease and leading UK online recruitment site, Jobsite, has taken 1,500 sq ft on an eight-year lease, which it will use as Disaster Recovery space for its main headquarters at Havant.

In August, Highcross announced the letting of 10,100 sq ft to Babcock International Group, which is relocating one of its Education and Training divisional offices to 1000 Lakeside and in July, The Southern Co-operative moved its headquarters from Fareham to 17,000 sq ft of office space on the building’s third floor.

Highcross asset management director, Nick Turner, comments: “Lettings have been consistently strong throughout this year. With 65% of the 275,000 sq ft office space at 1000 Lakeside now let, we are pleased by the building’s performance in what continues to be a challenging market.”

Located adjacent to Junction 12 of the M27, the four-floor 1000 Lakeside office building is set in extensively landscaped grounds and has almost 1,000 car parking spaces. Office space is available up to 72,000 sq ft, with a Regus business centre also located on site for companies requiring smaller accommodation.

Joint agents for 1000Lakesideare Vail Williams and Hughes Ellard.
