Highcross has appointed Storeys Edward Symmons as new joint agents at the Belasis Business Park in Billingham, Teesside.
The 127,000 sq ft business park, which includes 44 office and laboratory buildings, was acquired by Highcross in April last year and has recently been awarded Enterprise Zone status.
The new status brings significant benefits to potential occupiers, with qualifying companies able to benefit from savings of up to £55,000 per year over five years on their Business Rates liabilities.
Located on a 62-acre landscaped parkland site, the business park is around four miles from both Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough. A total of 20,000 sq ft of self-contained, high quality office units from 1,000- 7,500 sq ft are currently available, along with development land for design and build opportunities.
Since acquiring the park, Highcross has focused on active asset management, including improvements to lighting and signage, and is now planning further investment in the development of both the premises and the landscaped environment.
Alex Hyams, senior asset manager at Highcross’ Northern office comments: “Belasis Business Park is located within the heart of the UK’s petrochemical industry and renewable technology sector, and the recent award of Enterprise Zone status is a strong incentive for businesses looking to expand or relocate here.”
He added: “The park offers a great working environment in an excellent location and we are confident that the appointment of new agents and the scheme’s new status will lead to further success.”
Storeys Edward Symmons will be acting as joint agents for the business park with Sanderson Weatherall.
Jon Tully, agency director of Storeys Edwards Symmons comments: “We are delighted to be able to work with Highcross and Sanderson Weatherall as agents at Belasis. In these very challenging economic and market conditions we feel thatBelasisBusinessParkprovides a unique opportunity for occupiers, given the combination of the quality of the park itself and the Enterprise Zone benefits now available. We think we can bring an added dimension to the marketing here and are very much looking forward to getting started.”
