Leading retail property agent Harper Dennis Hobbs has been appointed by French commercial developer Vicity as retained property agents for the €140 m Lillenium Shopping Centre in Lille, in the north of France.
The new three-storey shopping centre, which is currently under development and due to open in November 2014, is five minutes from Lille city centre and will comprise 100 stores as well as a three star hotel and offices. Lillenium will be located in the heart of an ambitious urban plan.
Lillenium, designed by the famous French architect Rudy Ricciotti, will cover 57,000 sq m in total including 26,000 sq m of retail space, 2,100 sq m of restaurant space and an 450 sq m food area, a 10,000 sq m hypermarket prelet to E.Leclerc. It will also include a 4,800 sq m office complex, 900 capacity three storey underground car park and a 120 room Holiday Inn.
Retailers including H&M, New Yorker, C&A, Verywear and Mango have already expressed an interest in the scheme, which has a customer catchment of 3.5 million within a 100km radius.
