Six well known property agents are hoping to lose weight over the next four weeks and raise over £1,000 for charity in the process.
Rob Bray, Pat Fox, Paul Smith, Richard Harding, Sim Khatkar and Jody Mycroft of surveying firm Bray Fox Smith currently weigh a combined 95 stones – the equivalent of six baby elephants.
The six surveyors are raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care and The Princess Alice Trust, two charities that are also being supported by fellow surveyor and friend David Cuthbert of Hanover Green, who is himself undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge on 26 July. Their close friend Andy Locke from The Interiors Group has just lost his wife to cancer.
“We can’t think of a better incentive of getting fit than by helping a friend in raising money for two very worthwhile charities,” said Paul Smith.
“We did get a speaking weighing machine, which said ‘no coach parties please’ and ‘one at a time’ when Dickie Harding stepped onto it.”
The starting weights as at Tuesday 26 June are :
Rob Bray 13 st 9lb
Pat Fox 14st 1lb
Paul Smith 15st 2lb
Jody Mycroft 15st 8lb
Sim Khatkar 17st 3lb
Richard Harding 19st 5lb
Total combined weight 1,341 lbs/95 st 8lb.
The final weigh in will take place on 26 July.
Sponsorship is being sought on the collective weight loss and can be made on a £s per lb basis or by separate donation. Visit www.brayfoxsmith.com for more details.
