Nokia Expands At Broers Building, Cambridge

Naffield Properties, the joint venture between Turnstone Estates and Burall Developments, has let more space at its Broers Building office scheme in Cambridge to existing tenant Nokia, which grows its presence in the building by one-third.

The mobile phone manufacturer is to occupies 2,614 sq ft on the second floor, paying rent of £30 per sq ft. The company already lets 7,717 sq ft on the ground and first floors of the building, which is in the heart of the University of Cambridge’s 165-acre West Cambridge site.

The 41,825 sq ft Broers Building forms part of the Hauser Forum at the West Cambridge Research and Development Park. The four-storey building is let to businesses involved in commercial research and development.

Other tenants include engineering parts maker Elecktron, software provider Andago, and scientific software developer Enthoughts. Following the Nokia deal, there is 13,982 sq ft left on the second and third floors of the building.

Januarys and Bidwells acted for Naffield Developments. Nokia was advised by CBRE.
