Wafflemeister, advised by Harper Dennis Hobbs, has announced it is stepping up expansion plans with a further 10-15 sites over the next twelve months.
The Belgian Liege waffle specialist is opening a store at 50 Clarence Street, Kingston upon Thames and also launched a pop up in Westfield White City in June, which it plans to convert to a permanent lease. HDH is also in negotiations to open a unit at Liverpool Street Station this month and more sites are expected within the coming months.
Wafflemeister has taken a sub lease on 197 sq m (2,124 sq ft) at 50 Clarence Street, which is adjacent to HSBC, opposite Marks & Spencer and close to Pret a Manger, Clarks, Topman and Superdrug.
Charlie Catterall of HDH comments, “Wafflemeister trades from several locations in the UK, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia. This is a rapidly expanding and exciting brand looking for sites with a heavy footfall including airports, railway stations, high streets and shopping centres.”
Wafflemeister sells over 1.2m waffles, 14 tons of gelato and 20,000thick shakesa year. The company also supplies freshly baked waffles to independent retailers such as Harvey Nichols.
