Leading Thames Valley developer, Jansons Property celebrated the completion of its retail and leisure development at 350 Basingstoke Road in Reading today (December 2), with a Bavarian Christmas Market-themed party.
The 39,817 sq ft development, which comprises an Aldi supermarket, Pure Gym and Hungry Horse pub, is creating over 100 jobs and will be fully open next month. The scheme also includes 200 car parking spaces and 57 spaces for bikes all within a newly landscaped environment.
Jansons Property has handed over the buildings to the new occupiers and celebrated the occasion with the members of the local business community, property professionals, project advisors and local dignitaries.
Guests enjoyed a festive meal of hog roast, gingerbread and gluhwein.
Andy Jansons of Jansons Property commented: “Our development has revitalised an obsolete site and gives a greater choice of shopping and leisure to Whitley while also helping to create 100 new jobs.”
The three-acre site was previously occupied by a redundant and empty office complex that had become a local eyesore in desperate need of investment.
Jansons Property is one of the most experienced and active commercial developers in the Thames Valley and has most recently also been involved in projects in Wokingham, Slough and Windsor.
