Leading Egyptian jewellery brand Azza Fahmy, which has previously collaborated with Matthew Williamson at London Fashion Week and has built an international following, is looking for its first store in the UK.
The brand has instructed Harper Dennis Hobbs (HDH) to search for a stand-alone store in central London with a focus on Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Belgravia, South Kensington and possibly other central London luxury retail locations.
Tim Newman, Director at HDH commented: “Azza Fahmy is extremely well known in the Middle East and is the first Egyptian luxury jewellery brand to truly break into Europe. The family-run company employs 200 workers across production facilities and their design studio in Cairo, who meticulously makes each jewel by hand. Admirers include world leaders, royalty and celebrities such as Joss Stone. We are on the lookout for its first store to be close to other luxury brands.”
Azza Fahmy, set up her eponymous jewellery brand in Cairo in 1969 and was one of very few women in the industry and the only female jewellry designer in the Middle East. It has since become an international business run by Azza and her daughters Amina and Fatma, with products sold in 18 locations worldwide.
