Flexible workspace provider The Boutique Workplace Company has launched its latest centre at 41-43 Chalton Street, in London’s King’s Cross.
The 17,000 sq ft Connolly Works will provide 310 desks across five floors of design-led flexible workspace, offering start-ups much sought-after creative space in the heart of Kings Cross.
Set within an urban warehouse formerly occupied by Connolly Leather, the workplace provides occupiers with a serviced office solution within a vibrant historic setting.
Occupiers and entrepreneurs, particularly from the tech sector, have struggled to secure space within this part of the city due to the lack of supply. Ideally located between Kings Cross and Euston station, The Connolly Works will offer private office suites to accommodate four-plus people or self-contained floors.
Occupiers will have access to a stylish members lounge with a bar area, which will also be available to external members between 09:00-17:00. The building also features a roof terrace for open-air working or enjoying a drink with the team after hours. Additional amenities include showers, bike racks and a range of meeting rooms available for rent.
The former warehouse boasts a rich heritage as the home to Connolly Leather. The family-owned business’s specialist leather was used by British car manufacturers including Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and Jaguar. The company also supplied to icons including Concorde, QE2 and Spitfire. With a nod to the building’s proud history, each of the office suites are named after a place or object the leather has featured in.
The Boutique Workplace Company has built an impressive 33-strong portfolio of centres across the capital. It has earnt a reputation as a leading provider of boutique spaces and The Connolly Works will incorporate inspiring working environments available on flexible terms.
The company plans to continue expanding its offering across the capital and in February 2020 will open a new centre at 12-18 Theobald’s Road, near Chancery Lane with more locations also in the pipeline.
The Boutique Workplace Company CEO, Daniel Wheble said: “The Connolly Works will offer the type of creative working environment King’s Cross occupiers and agents have been crying out for. We look forward to opening our 33rd Boutique Workplace and continuing to demonstrate to businesses across London the value of design-led flexible workspace.”
